Truth - What is?

Truth is Jesus Christ. He is the perfect model of doing and being in God's Will past, present and future. In John 14:6, Jesus answered, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me”. This is the only perfect definition of what Truth is. All other truths man defined through the ages fall short due to his permanent depraved state (Romans 3:23)

Truth - Why we don't "get it"?

We are surrounded and are compelled to embrace "grains of truth". From the present culture we live in, to the devices we emmerse ourselves in, the desire to feed our sins is constantly tugging for our attention for sin is always pleasurable (Hebrews 11:25). Being in a depraved state since our birth, our inherited wickedness condemns us to death. As a matter fact, those who refuse Christ are the walking dead (2 Corinthians 4:4). Consider this: we all tend to view the world as a constant. We take for granted "Mother Earth" will always be. We believe that the sun will rise and set each day. In our arrogance, we think we know, tomorrow will come. It makes us feel better to think that way. We tend to buy into the idea that "comforts" will be here always, and if they are taken away, we rarely blame ourselves. As Americans, our views on philosophy, division, theology, religion, and the religion of self is normal, that enables us to make sense of the world we live in, organized and explained. It's much easier for us to believe in everything that can be explained. We yearn to quantify everything including the Lord. "An explanation" or popular viewpoint enables a false sense of order in our lives. These perceptions and beliefs tend to instill a "quiet" routine, generating a sense of normalcy, and a path of least resistance from which our temporal state can flourish. This rationale, this sin natured lifestyle void of God's will, will eventually leads to our demise.

Truth - How we can "get it" ?

To establish what Truth is, each of us must establish and nurture a relationship with Jesus Christ. Only through God's Grace can one know and sustain a relationship with Jesus. God's grace may bring a non believer to a circumstance whereby he or she finds themselves in a church, talking to a believer about Jesus, or a life changing event. No matter how God does this, the non believer has those circumstances from which a choice is made. Either surrender to accept Jesus as their Saviour, or turn away, rejecting Him. The choice is up to each one of us. Jesus walked the face of the Earth long ago. During His short ministry,he clearly defined who he was: God in human form. He told us that he had fulfilled the Law of Moses, was the one prophesied as the "Messiah" (messenger), and only through him we can have eternal Life. What each of us has to do is acknowledge we are sinners, recognize, and have faith that He is our Savior, that He died on a Cross for the forgiveness of our sins: (Past, future and Present sins), and that we trust in Him, repent of our sins and ask Him (prayer) to guide our Lives. To ensure this process, first, we have the Holy Bible to show us this process. God's divine Word and Truth for Man. In it are the answers on how each of us ensures our salvation from this broken world. Each one of us through reading the Bible, encouragement, worship, and fellowship, we can indeed establish a healthy, consistent, growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
